AH AMÁLIA-LIVING EXPERIENCE WITH FREE ADMISSION ON OCTOBER 4, 5, AND 6
October 6 marks the 26th anniversary of Amália Rodrigues' death and the first anniversary of the official opening of Ah Amália - Living Experience to the public.
To celebrate the voice that marked generations and took fado beyond borders, Ah Amália - Living Experience is offering free admission to all visitors on October 4, 5, and 6. From 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., subject to available capacity.
Ah Amália is the most innovative national experience, celebrating Amália and Fado and crossing all the senses and emotions - sound, sight, the virtual, the unique, and the unexpected. It is a surprising dive into time, into her work, into our history, culture, and traditions.
On a tour of eight themed rooms, visitors embark on an unforgettable journey. Highlights include a life-size hologram of Amália performing live; a 360° room with video mapping; a virtual reality film; and an infinite mirror room.
Each environment combines striking scenography, physical, light, sound, and visual installations, and dynamic content in a storytelling that combines the physical and the digital, thus celebrating the artist's material and immaterial legacy.
Ah Amália - Living Experience is more than a tribute; it is a platform to take the essence of Amália, Fado, our language, and culture throughout the country and the world.
