COLD HAVEN arrives in Iceland

On 18 November, ahead of the preview of the series COLD HAVEN, a co-production between SPi and Icelandic production company Glassriver, Maria João Bastos and Catarina Lopes Rebelo travelled to Iceland, where much of this psychological thriller was filmed.

Alongside the two Portuguese actresses, the Icelandic actors who make up the series cast were also present, as well as José Fragoso, Programme Director at RTP1, CEO João Pedro Lopes, General Director of Content Pedro Lopes, both from SPTV Group, and João Maia Abreu, Head of Business and Co-Productions at SPi.

At the event, which took place in the Icelandic capital with great pomp and circumstance, the first of eight episodes was screened and João Pedro Lopes, in his speech, took the opportunity to thank ”RTP, Síminn and APC for believing in this story and this unlikely partnership” and also praised the quality of this series, from the cast to the production: “For countries like Portugal and Iceland, co-production is the future. But sometimes the process is not easy. In this case, everything seemed natural. There was only one team: the Cold Haven team.”  

With no broadcast date yet set in Portugal on RTP, COLD HAVEN will premiere on 20 November on the Icelandic station Síminn.
