SP Televisão's fiction internationally recognized

SP Televisão has achieved historic recognition on the international fiction scene. For the first time, Portuguese telenovelas are finalists in the International Television and Film Award. And it is a double recognition for the two finalist titles awarded to Heart of Gold and Salty Sea.

The gold medal was awarded to the soap opera Heart of Gold, written by Pedro Lopes and whit a cast headed by Mariana Pacheco, Rita Blanco and João Reis. The telenovela Salty Sea, starring Margarida Vila-Nova, Ricardo Pereira, Joana Santos and José Fidalgo, and written by Inês Gomes, won the bronze medal. The two productions competed in the same category as Bajo el Mismo Cielo (Telemundo), La Querida del Centauro (Telemundo Network) and Señora Acero 2 (Telemundo Network).

This is a historic moment for SP Televisão, as well as for SIC, but also for all fiction made in Portugal.
