TANGLED LIVES attends the 2019 International Emmy Awards
Tangled Lives was nominated for the International Emmy Awards 2019, in the Telenovela category. This is already the third nomination achieved by a telenovela by SIC and SP Televisão. In 2011, Blood Ties won this award at the 39th International Emmy Awards.
This is the only portuguese production nominated in this edition, competing in the same category with 100 Dias Para Enamorarse (Telefe/Underground, Argentina); La Reina del Flow (Sony Pictures Television / Teleset / Netflix / Caracol TV, Colombia) and The River (Tshedza Pictures, South Africa).
Written by Alexandre Castro, Tangled Lives features Sara Matos, Joana Santos, Diogo Amaral, João Jesus and Renato Godinho in the main roles. An action-packed, suspenseful story that revolves around the world of sport, fashion and doping. Set between Lisbon, Amarante and Melgaço, the telenovela shows some of the most beautiful landscapes in the country.
It is recalled that this year, Tangled Lives achieved the bronze medal in the Telenovela category at the New York Festivals® International TV & Film Awards 2019 gala, which took place in Las Vegas, and the award in the Serials, Soaps & Telenovelas category at the 40th gala of the BANFF WORLD MEDIA FESTIVAL - The Rockie Awards, in Canada.
This is the 47th edition of what is considered the biggest event of the television industry in the world, recognizing the best in television, inside and outside the United States of America.
