AVENIDA PORTUGAL adds star power to its cast with new names

The Portuguese adaptation of the Brazilian hit Avenida Brasil, produced by SP Televisão for SIC, received a major boost last week with the announcement of seven more established names from Portuguese television joining the cast of AVENIDA PORTUGAL.

The latest announcements confirm Virgílio Castelo in the role of Nilo, Jessica Athayde as Noémia, Luísa Cruz bringing Lucinda to life, Joana Santos as Monalisa, Jorge Corrula as Cadinho, Victoria Guerra taking on the role of Ivana, and Mariana Monteiro playing Xana.

These actors join those previously announced, such as Madalena Almeida (Débora) and Ana Sofia Martins (Zezé), as well as Margarida Vila-Nova (Carminha), Ricardo Pereira (Tufão), Laura Dutra (Nina), José Condessa (Jorginho), Afonso Pimentel (Max), and Sara Matos (Suelen).

Filming for AVENIDA PORTUGAL is scheduled to begin in November, marking another step forward in the realization of this new venture by SP Televisão and SIC in Portuguese television drama.
