SIC’s New Season starts with A GREATER DESTINY in the Spotlight

Yesterday, 9 September, SIC presented its new programming schedule for the upcoming season at an event held at SUD Lisboa, bringing together actors, channel professionals, and several personalities from the television and entertainment industries.

National fiction took centre stage, with A GREATER DESTINY, the new drama series produced by SP Televisão, featuring prominently in the new schedule. The production premieres next Monday, 14 September, at 9:45 p.m. on SIC, immediately after Jornal da Noite, and simultaneously on OPTO, SIC and Disney+.

Starring Sara Barradas, Diogo Amaral, Sofia Ribeiro, and José Mata, A GREATER DESTINY tells a story of love, loss, secrets, and reunions. The cast also includes Carolina Carvalho, Rita Blanco, Manuela Couto, Noémia Costa, Mariana Pacheco, Patrícia Tavares, Dânia Neto, and Francisco Froes, among others.

During the event, Daniel Oliveira, SIC’s Director of Programming, also revealed SP Televisão’s next project, an adaptation of the telenovela Avenida Brasil, in partnership with TV Globo, which is already in pre-production.

The presentation of the new season also marked the announcement of the nominees for the Revelation Award at the 30th edition of the Globos de Ouro, including Margarida Moreira, nominated for her role as Clarinha in CHAPTERS OF LIFE, and Rodrigo Costa, nominated for his portrayal of Francisco in VITÓRIA.
